HeartMath and Emotional Freedom Technique
Within EoH we recognise that optimising health is not limited to the leafy greens you might be adding to your plate. Our Personalised Nutrition and Lifestyle Programmes have always included a focus on sleep, intentional movement and managing our mindset and stress. However, after many years of working with clients Keeley and Pam came to recognize that for some, a deeper more holistic approach may be of benefit; such as accessing powerful change and transformation through Heart Math and EFT.
EFT with Pam and Keeley
Emotional Freedom Techniques or EFT are based on ancient healing principals and draw on similar energy maps utilized in acupuncture, acupressure, shiatsu massage and reflexology. This non-invasive, simple technique can offer relief from physical and emotional pain that may be presenting as a physical symptom or disease. Guided by Keeley or Pam, clients use their fingertips to gently “tap” on key meridian (energy) points around the body whilst focusing on a specific emotional stressor. Often describes as “acupuncture without the needles” clients can feel relief with their mental, emotional and physical issues as their emotional debris or blocks are cleared from their energy meridians.
Issues with weight, fatigue, sleep and pain can often have a deep, emotional root to them; some of which we may not even be aware of. Once these memories are identified and cleared the emotional and physical burden is relieved once more and the body is able to return to its natural, relaxed state to function optimally.
Heart Math with Pam
Heart focused living has been central to Pam’s work as a holistic Nutritional Therapist. Before joining forces with Keeley Pam’s business name was Nurture Nutrition and her deepest desire was to bring compassion, care and empathy into the lives of the clients she would support. A passionate believer that we are not meant to live a life of deprivation, denial and self-loathing Pam would often invite clients to engage in breath work, meditation, yoga and other restorative practices to support their diet and lifestyle programmes. However, with a background in health research Pam was fascinated to discover the discipline of HeartMath and trained as a HeartMath Coach; offering another layer of support to her clients.
Backed by more than 25 years of scientific research, HeartMath techniques are easy to learn and can be used as a daily practice as well as “in the moment”, whatever the situation, meaning that you can access your best self in your professional, social and personal lives. HeartMath research shows that regulating breathing and generating positive emotions facilitates a whole-body shift to a specific, scientifically measurable state called psychophysiological coherence, or coherence for short. Clients can choose to simply access the techniques and feel the benefit or use the Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Coherence biofeedback app and sensor to offer real-time insight into their emotional, mental and physical state.
By accessing these heart-based techniques we can develop greater self-awareness, become more proficient in self-regulating emotions, thoughts and behaviours thus decreasing the negative impact of stress on our body and mind. This enables us to feel more energized, access greater clarity and live our most abundant lives.
